-
- A FreeWare Product from Suncoast Software Systems and Charles Dittell
- Copyright 1994 by Charles Dittell
-
- INTRODUCTION: INOUT is a basic signin/signin tracking program, designed
- to enable small organizations to track who's in and who's not. It's
- designed to run either on one PC, or on any number of networked nodes.
- Currently, INOUT supports a maximum of 16 individuals.
-
- SHAREWARE AND REGISTRATION INFO: You may use INOUT for up to one month
- for free. If you continue to use it, you must register INOUT and pay
- for it. The current price, a measely $3, enables you to obtain free
- updates for up to one year, as well as full assistance win any
- problems which you may have with INOUT. Registering INOUT shows your
- support for the Shareware concept of program distribution.
-
- REQUIREMENTS: A PC, a hard drive ("C:"), 512K RAM (minimum). Tested on
- standalone PC's, Novell networks with and without MicroSoft Windows 3.1.
-
- WARRANTY: There is no warranty for this software; you use it at your own
- risk (we gotta say that). Please fill out and send registration form
- to obtain support through our support BBS.
-
- SETUP: Unzip the INOUT compressed file into its own directory. On a
- network, unzip INOUT into any file server directory. We recommend that
- it be set up as with any other application program; ensure that your
- users have full read/write/delete access to its files. If running INOUT
- through Windows, create a pif ("INOUT.PIF"), changing Maximum Memory
- Required to 512K (though you may want to experiment with a lower number
- here: we've gotten down to 412K). Set the Startup Directoy to the
- drive and directory where INOUT.EXE resides. Set Video Memory to
- Text; Display Usage to Windowed. Keep the check in Close Windows on
- Exit; check Emulate Text Mode (or Text Mode). Save the Pif.
- Call INOUT through this Pif. Run INOUT; add the names of personnel
- to be tracked.
-
- NOTE: If a General Protection Fault occurs while in INOUT (it hasn't
- happened yet during testing), or your power fails, or you must close
- INOUT through Window's CTL/ALT/DEL feature, you must then manually
- delete a file, SEM.TMP in the root directory of your C: drive in
- order to run INOUT on your machine again!
-
- USAGE: Each employee need only enter his/her number (as listed on the
- INOUT screen), which will toggle his/her status from in to out (or vice-
- versa). Individuals may be added or deleted easily by choosing the
- appropriate menu option. Any user can add or delete others, and sign in
- or sign out others.
-
- HISTORY: 3/27/94: Ver 1.3: removed bug when called more than once on
- same Novell network node.
